Optometrist

The Optometrist provides direct clinical care to patients at Zufall Health Center, ensuring high-quality medical care. This role involves providing comprehensive eye exams, managing ocular diseases, and ensuring continuity of patient care. The position also requires collaboration with the Care Team and community outreach.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues
• Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer applications
• Active license to practice optometry in New Jersey
• Current BLS certification
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) and eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid
• Experience in community health or underserved care settings (desirable)
