Job Description
The Designer/Drafter II prepares drafting projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches. This position follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in design drafting.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Drafting & Design; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2 + years experience working proficiently in AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor a plus), Version 2012 or newer
- Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Microsoft Access and Project are a plus
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe PageMaker 7.0, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to read and interpret complex detail drawings and architectural/structural blueprints
- Strong communication and documentation skills
