Body System (BIW & Closures) Expert (m/f/d)

A2MAC1 is seeking a Body System (BIW & Closures) Expert to deliver high-quality costing analyses and technical insights related to vehicle body systems, including Body-in-White, closures, and exterior components. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in body system engineering or cost engineering and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling concepts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in body system engineering, automotive cost engineering, or automotive purchasing engineering
• Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics
• Strong knowledge of body manufacturing processes such as stamping, forging, welding, casting, extrusion, painting, and assembly
• Advanced expertise in costing and design-to-cost methodologies
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, manufacturing processes, and tooling concepts
• Ability to analyze complex engineering systems and cost trade-offs
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with internal costing tools is a plus
• Advanced analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in international and cross-functional environments
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French or German is a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally
