Practice Manager (1925) to provide an efficient and effective service to clients and Members of Chambers, and contribute to the development of a highly able, cohesive, and supportive clerking and administration team.
Requirements
- Clerking: Negotiate and agree terms of work and set brief fees in respect of all barristers within your group at the correct time.
- Allocate all incoming instructions and briefs to appropriate barristers (taking into consideration the wishes of the client, barristers practices and practice development).
- Monitor all diary entries effecting your group and liaise with instructing clients to ensure all briefs are received promptly to allow sufficient preparation time for hearings.
- Practice Development: Work with the senior leadership team to proactively manage practices by developing and keeping good working relationships with barristers in your group through discussing their practices with them regularly and keeping them informed of the status of their diaries.
- Management of Clerking Team: Support, train and oversee those in more junior roles to you and provide guidance and assistance to improve their skills in operational areas of time and task management including practice and client development.
- Marketing: Contribute to marketing plans; assist with the running of any marketing initiatives as and when required to grow individual, team and chambers profile.
