The Instructional Designer plays a key role in creating and maintaining blended learning education programs across multiple software systems, developing and designing courses, and collaborating with subject-matter experts.
Requirements
- Instructional Design Certification, preferred
- Experience developing and using interactive digital courseware, learning software, and online learning management systems
- Understanding and application of adult learning principles and aspects of instructional design in various formats
- Technical writing skills to produce user guides, manuals, and instructional documents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical learners
- Understanding of web site design best practices (HTML, CSS, etc.)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Experience with video editing software, such as Camtasia, and content creation software such as Articulate
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
