Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, produces images of internal body tissues to diagnose and monitor various conditions, and supervises ultrasound personnel.
Requirements
- Diploma/certificate from an Ultrasound college/school
- ACR Accredited Sites: All sonographers must be certified and currently registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS) within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S): Required
