Surveyor

Aecon is a Canadian leader in infrastructure development and is seeking a Surveyor to join their team for the Darlington New Nuclear Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and laying out various aspects of construction projects with high accuracy, ensuring design criteria is adhered to and well-documented. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of work experience in technical engineering/surveying roles or related fields, and proficiency in operating and maintaining surveying equipment and software.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in technical engineering/surveying roles or related fields
• Education in technical engineering/surveying or equivalent training and experience in construction surveying
• Thorough understanding of surveying principles, practices, and procedures
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining surveying equipment and software, including Autodesk Civil 3D
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in the construction industry
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with engineering design principles and survey methods
• Experience with GPS and total station operations, ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and capability of lifting up to 50 lbs for surveying equipment and materials
