Job Description
Aecon Utilities is seeking a Project Technician to design and deliver telecom infrastructure drawings that meet municipal and client standards. The successful candidate will work with AutoCAD and GIS data to produce permit-ready packages, construction sets, and as-builts.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience producing telecom or utility drawings (FTTH, OSP, ISP)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with exposure to ABD/AUD, ESRI/GIS, and client platforms (i.e., SpatialNET) considered an asset
- Understanding of municipal permitting requirements and telecom symbology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and meeting deadlines
- Post-secondary education in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or an Architectural program, is considered an asset
