The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs recreation and leisure pursuits to promote wellbeing, purpose, creativity, a sense of community, lifelong learning, and fun for residents in a long-term care setting.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with seniors
- Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field
- Enrolled in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field
