The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide direct therapy and case management services to youth and families, with a primary service window of 12p-8p to meet after-school and evening demand. The position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field and clinical licensure in field of study preferred.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
- Clinical licensure in field of study preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work between 12:00pm to 8:00pm M-F
- Past experience working with youth
- Knowledge of adolescent/family dynamics, substance abuse and trauma issues
- Cultural competency with Black/Latinx and LGBTQ+ youth
- Interest and commitment to working in a community-based youth service agency
- Skilled at working with young people at high risk for juvenile justice and child welfare system involvement
- Consistently learning and working within the following frameworks: Anti-oppression, Positive Youth Development, Trauma-informed and Balanced and Restorative Justice
