Job Description
Alternatives is a youth services organization modeled after innovative alternatives to the status quo in Chicago's youth services field. This On-Call Crisis Worker position offers 24/7 coverage, including in-person response to emergencies, family conflict mediation, and assisting youth in transitioning to safe environments. The role focuses on providing crisis intervention and connecting youth with resources.
Requirements
- Work 16 hours per weekend (example: 5pm-9am), and at least one weekend per month.
- Provide quick and efficient response to calls from the Alternatives answering service.
- Assess the immediate problems of the youth and family.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
- Participate in supervisory meetings.
