Engineer I, Senior

The Senior Engineer I is responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising engineering design reviews and analysis assignments involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. The role requires day-to-day leadership of Engineering staff assigned, assigns projects to Engineers, and monitors the progress of all assigned projects.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or other related disciplines; an M.S. is preferred
• Demonstrated computer literacy in engineering software
• Exposed to Finite Element Method (course work or supervised research)
• Professional or chartered engineer license
• At least ten (10) years of related engineering experience in a shipyard, design/consulting office, shipping/oil company, or a classification society; or two (2) years as an Engineer II
• Seagoing engineering license or professional/chartered engineer license
