Engineer, Senior

We are searching for a Senior Engineer to assist with ship structure, stability, and load line reviews, performing engineering design review and analysis assignments, and supporting U.S. government agencies by performing various classification and certification services for surface vessels.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or other related disciplines
• 5 to 10 years of related engineering experience in a shipyard, design/consulting office, shipping/oil company, or a classification society
• Demonstrated computer literacy in engineering software
• Experience in software related to stability, such as GHS, NAPA, or other equivalent software
• Demonstrated experience in performing stability analyses in accordance with relevant Rules and Regulations
• Exposed to Finite Element Method (coursework or supervised research)
• Good command of the English language
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to work well with others
