Registered Nurse Hourly (PACU/Pre-op) PRN

We are currently searching for a Registered Nurse Pre OP/PACU who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Responsible for coordinating intra-operative care of the patient and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre – and post – operative care.

Requirements

• Provide nursing care to a diverse population in a multi-specialty environment.
• Coordinate patient care, including admission, planned surgery, discharge, transfer to higher level of care and any appropriate referrals.
• Assess, monitor and communicate to the provider changes in condition and potential or actual problems.
• Provide education, discharge planning and intervention to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Document all interventions and activities per standards of care.
• Ensure safety checklists, interventions and procedures are implemented and documented as appropriate.
• Responds to life threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment.
• Act in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
• Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform related work and other duties as required.
