Materials Engineer-Ink, Coating(Packaging)

The Materials Engineer-Ink, Coating (Packaging) position is responsible for developing and evaluating new print materials, curating material portfolios, and establishing relationships with manufacturers to promote environmentally-responsible material solutions. The role involves collaboration with product design and manufacturing to integrate application requirements and develop new characterization methods.

Requirements

• Knowledge of material science concepts and structure-property relationships.
• BS or equivalent in related field with experience in printing, process engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and vendors.
• Statistical Analysis knowledge (e.g., Design of Experiments, Process Stability/Control/Capability).
• Understanding of analytical techniques (XRF, SEM, EDS, FTIR, TEM, ICP).
• Experience with paper, fiber, or bio-based materials.
• MS or PhD or equivalent experience in related field.
