HVAC Supervisor - Florida Department of Children & Family Services

The HVAC Supervisor will supervise the work of a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Shop, responsible for communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning and directing subordinates work, and coordinating with the Service Response Center.

Requirements

• Communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees
• Planning and directing subordinates work
• Coordinating with the Service Response Center all work progress and completion in a timely manner
• Evaluating employees through establishing evaluation criteria and responsibilities and meeting regularly with employees to insure the pre-established criteria are met
• Trains employees in methods for performing an effective and efficient job
• Instructs and trains personnel in procedures and methods that would keep all HVAC/R systems in optimum working order and improve the efficiency of these systems
• Manage the HVAC/R preventive maintenance program
• Direct staff in the use of machine shop equipment, including hydraulic presses, die cutting machines, drill presses, etc. as it relates to HVAC maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Perform other related duties as needed
