Arcadis is seeking an Architect I for Government & Civic projects to join their Global Excellence Centre. The role involves working on architecture design, conceptualizing design ideas, and collaborating with teams to ensure project success. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture design works.
Requirements
- Act as a project resource by completing assigned activities within budget, timeframe, and quality objectives, while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Review own work to ensure it meets specified standards before submission for further checks.
- Assist in the development of design concepts across permit and technical phases, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Develop detailed design solutions that address client and project needs, ensuring compliance with code, accessibility, and functional requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive drawing packages, including relevant plans, elevations, details, schedules, and specifications.
- Conceptualize and present design ideas through sketches, diagrams, and 3D visualizations.
- Research materials, building codes, and regulations to support design development and compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Ability to contribute to the team’s digital initiative and automation of processes.
- Experience in wood frame constructions, residential or other type, is required.
- Experience in Revit, AutoCAD and TwinMotion or Enscape required.
- Proficiency in BIM and experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop), SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo is desired.
- Strong graphic, presentation, and writing skills.
- English language advanced skills.
- Ability to work independently, and in teams depending on the size of the projects and task.
