Network Engineer II

Role Overview

The Network Engineer II will support moderately complex network infrastructures, ensuring reliable connectivity, system performance, and adherence to federal security and operational standards. This position requires a technically proficient professional capable of troubleshooting complex issues while working under general supervision.

What You Will Do

Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure for program operations, monitor and manage network performance, evaluate and support network-related hardware and software, enforce and support network security procedures and protocols, and troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex network and connectivity issues.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Approximately 2–4 years of experience in network engineering or a related IT field, experience supporting LAN/WAN environments, working knowledge of networking concepts, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently under general supervision.

Requirements

• Approximately 2–4 years of experience in network engineering or a related IT field
• Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments, including networks of approximately 25 to 100 nodes
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing and switching fundamentals, Network security principles
• Experience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues
• Ability to apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the networking field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently under general supervision while managing competing priorities
