Job Description
Assisted Independence is seeking Recreational Therapists to provide a personalized and systematic approach to health and well-being through recreation-based interventions for individuals with disabilities in home and community-based settings. The role involves offering self-care, self-direction, and expressive/receptive language to address individual needs, promoting psychological, physical, and occupational recovery.
Requirements
- Assist individual receiving supports with self-care, direction, communication, ambulation, ADL’s, learning, independent living, economic self-sufficiency, physical activity, community participation, and assessments.
- Complete Individual Intake Form, Functional Assessment of Characteristics for Therapeutic Recreation (FACTR-R) Assessment, and General Recreational Screening Tool (GRST) Assessment at initial sessions.
- Provide evidence-based peer reviewed journals or meta-analysis citing why the course of treatment is proven to be effective.
- Update treatment plans annually, including new assessment scores.
