Job Description
Austal USA is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Mechanical Department specializing in HVAC systems. The role will oversee Engineers 1 through 4, guiding them through the functional development and detailed design support of HVAC systems. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of design and/or construction experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- 8+ years of design and/or construction experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of scheduling and an ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Experienced in interacting with Production, multiple design teams, customer representatives, and equipment manufacturers
