Job Description
Avant is seeking a Senior Claims Manager to join their civil claims team in Melbourne on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves managing a large portfolio of complex litigated civil claims and providing support and guidance to members throughout the claims process.
Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in medical negligence claims
- Tertiary qualifications in law or health
- Solicitors with a valid practising certificate will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of applicable, current health and insurance legislation
- Strong understanding of breach, causation and quantum principles
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing damages in medical negligence claims
