The Instructional Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and developing engaging learning experiences for professionals in banking and financial services. The individual will work in close collaboration with external subject matter experts and internal teams to develop a rich library of training products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology, eLearning, English) preferred
- Three-plus years of experience as an instructional designer
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and fact-checking skills
- Familiarity with learning frameworks such as Adaptive Learning, ADDIE, SAM, or other learning development approaches is a plus
- Strong knowledge and an expert user in Microsoft Office software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Sharepoint experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of the following software packages beneficial: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Edge Animate, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise
- Strong sense of user experience, graphic design, and accessibility considerations for online learning
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to comprehend (often) highly technical source-material
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Effective research abilities with keen attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Aptitude to set priorities and make independent decisions while being receptive to feedback
- Banking or financial services industry experience helpful but not required
