Superintendent - Metallurgy

Superintendent – Metallurgy position available at New Porgera Limited in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will lead the Metallurgy team, ensure safe and cost-efficient operation, and drive strategies for plant performance and gold recovery. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to plant optimisation and improvements in a dynamic team.

Requirements

• Tertiary Qualifications in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
• At least 15 years’ experience in Minerals processing operations
• Several years in Superintendent or senior metallurgist roles in the gold and / or base metals industry
• Demonstrated ability to identify, coach and mentor team members
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness
• Demonstrated experience in management of metallurgical databases and accounting systems
• Demonstrated experience in project management, change management and business improvement systems
• Experience in managing costs and budgeting
• First aid certification or ability to obtain certification
• Certificate IV Training and Assessment (preferable)
• Current Drivers Licence
