Job Description
The Recovery Support Specialist provides support to patients of Residential Treatment Facilities throughout their treatment. They are responsible for daily observations, completing EMR notes, and guiding patients in appropriate behaviors. They also assist with daily tasks, room searches, and transporting patients to appointments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Previous experience working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
- Satisfactory drug screening and criminal background check
