Construction Manager

Bird is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and coordinate the full management of major hydroelectric projects. The role is responsible for the overall project performance: safety, quality, costs, schedule, reports, and adherence to company policies. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and overseeing construction activities, coordinating with engineers and clients, establishing a culture of safety and high performance, and managing site personnel.

Requirements

• Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial or hydroelectric project management (>$50M).
• Significant experience in site supervision, including all types of trades and subcontractors.
• Mastery of planning and coordination processes, ideally AWP or Construction Work Packages (CWP).
• Strong skills in budgeting, planning, and project control.
• Recognized leadership, ability to inspire trust, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Bilingual French/English and mobility to travel to sites.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical analysis skills.
