Network Technician I

Black Box is looking for a Network Infrastructure Technician to work in a data center environment. The candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and certifying structured and patch panel cabling. The job requires experience with high-speed fiber optic transport, knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards, and the ability to work safely with high-speed single mode long range optical lasers.

Requirements

• Qualification in installing, testing and certifying structured and patch panel cabling
• Experience in working in a data centers and communications closets
• Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards
• Ability to safely lift heavy objects
• Will to work shift work which includes nights and weekends
