Associate, Private Financing Solutions, Fund Accounting

The Fund Accounting Associate performs an integral role within the Fund Accounting team and is responsible for review and reconciliation of the funds' books and records, liaising with both internal HPS departments and external third-party fund administrators, reporting to a Vice President in the Fund Accounting department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of combined experience in a Fund Accounting role, and/or public accounting role supporting clients within the financial services industry (preferably within Private Credit, Public Credit, Private Equity or Hedge Funds)
• Big four public accounting experience preferred
• Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to continuously learn.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to consistently be attentive to detail while meeting critical deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of internal controls
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and maintain high levels of accuracy
