Fund Accounting Associate is responsible for review and reconciliation of the funds' books and records, liaising with internal departments and external third-party fund administrators, and reporting to a Vice President in the Fund Accounting department. The Fund Accounting Analyst will be involved in the closing of the books, fund setup, and ad hoc internal and investor requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of combined experience in a Fund Accounting role, and/or public accounting role supporting clients within the financial services industry
- Big four public accounting experience preferred
- Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to continuously learn
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to consistently be attentive to detail while meeting critical deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of internal controls
- Ability to work with large volumes of data and maintain high levels of accuracy
