Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM)

At least 3 years of experience as a primary instructor, commitment to equity, and student-centered teaching experience

Demonstrated experience in managing teams, creating inclusive classrooms, and making thoughtful decisions in high-pressure situations

Counselors must be strong mathematically, reliable, and take initiative. They should be charismatic and able to help the kids have fun

Previous experience working at BEAM, experience as a counselor, and leadership/administrative experience

Strong math background, reliability, charisma, and ability to work with kids required

5+ years of experience as a primary instructor, coaching and mentorship experience, commitment to equity, and strong understanding of mathematics

2+ years of experience at a BEAM Discovery site, leadership and/or administrative experience, and multiple years experience working at BEAM

Formal training in counseling, 3+ years of counseling work history, or equivalent experience

2+ years of experience in instructional leadership, deep comfort with middle school math content, and strong communication skills
