Job Description
Join BEAM Summer Away as a Counselor/Teaching Assistant and create a transformative experience for students from low-income and historically marginalized communities with exceptional potential in math. As a counselor, you will help students discover powerful mathematical ideas, build confidence, and see themselves as mathematicians. You will also be a TA for classes on topics such as number theory, combinatorics, problem solving, and computer science.
Requirements
- Strong mathematical background
- Reliability and initiative
- Charisma and ability to help kids have fun
- 18 years old by the beginning of the program
- Authorized to work for an employer in the US
