Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California’s most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We were founded in 2004 on the belief that all people deserve safe, affordable housing that includes the support services they need to live as independently as possible. We quickly became California’s largest housing partner in the historic shift from institutional settings to community-based housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Over the past 20 years, we have embraced the challenge of scaling innovative supportive housing for those who need it most, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. Working at the intersection of housing and sectors such as healthcare, veterans’ services, the justice system, and the homelessness response system, Brilliant Corners provides a variety of innovative supportive housing models that meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.
Open Positions
Accounting Supervisor
5-10 years of experience in accounting, bachelor's degree in accounting, or 3 years of full cycle non-profit fund accounting experience
Housing Acquisition Specialist
2+ years of experience in leasing, real estate, property management, supportive housing, Sacramento County rental markets, city planning/public policy, subsidy programs or sales. Possession of a Housing Quality Standards (HQS) certification is a plus
Assistant Controller
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on general ledger accounting, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and payment processing controls. Prior experience reviewing work / leading small teams, and experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms
Housing Coordinator
1+ year of experience in non-profit human services, excellent communication skills, and ability to travel
Housing Coordinator
Housing Coordinator experience, trauma-informed care principles, basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required, ability to utilize critical thinking skills, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment
Maintenance Technician
Certificate in HVAC, knowledge of maintenance systems, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
Case Manager (Project-Based)
1 year experience working with homeless population, Bachelor's degree, and basic computer knowledge required
Property Manager
Minimum 1 year of property management experience, experience in affordable and/or supportive housing, and experience working with people with disabilities
Temporary Program Supervisor
3+ years of experience in mental health or case management, Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
Housing Coordinator
1 year of experience in non-profit human services, knowledge of housing models or public housing agency system, and basic computer skills
