IP Paralegal I

Working as an IP Paralegal I at Bristol Myers Squibb, you will be responsible for monitoring patent cases and patent attorney/agent dockets, prioritizing workload, and reviewing patent application files for compliance with USPTO requirements and BMS department standards. You will also be drafting and preparing patent legal documents for submission to the USPTO, including patent applications, amendments, and office action responses.

Requirements

• Knowledge of US and foreign patent procedures
• Ability to handle multiple heavy dockets and learn best practices to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent organizational and accountability skills
• Ability to identify legal issues/problems based on knowledge of PTO procedures
• Basic knowledge of Patent Term Adjustment
• Ability to search and procure patent references including U.S. and Foreign patents and journal articles
