Domestic Violence Outreach Coordinator

To provide community education, outreach, case management and counseling for battered women and their children, including acquiring and accessing a variety of resources. Provides domestic violence education through support groups, workshops and agency-wide training and establishes collaborative relationships through outreach efforts that help to prevent domestic abuse.

Requirements

• Two years of case management experience, preferably with women and children.
• Experience and knowledge of domestic violence, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and child abuse prevention and empowerment of women and children required.
• Certified Domestic Violence Counselor required.
• Bilingual/bicultural candidates an encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with immigrant communities a plus.
• Ability to interact in a professional, genuine, responsible, and respectful manner with a diverse population of women and children.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required, including group facilitation experience.
• Ability to create and implement engagement strategies for one-on-one and group settings, including training staff and community partners.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm driven by a passion to support BFWC’s mission.
