Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

Designs and develops mechanical equipment and systems for transportation, water, and utility precast concrete infrastructure. Works in an office environment associated with a manufacturing facility. Must be able to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when in the manufacturing area.

What You Will Do

Designs functional equipment, performs design analysis, creates manufacturing drawings and bills of material, and evaluates and implements design changes. Uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively.

Requirements

• 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree
• Thorough understanding of drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
• Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
• Strength of materials and structural analysis
• Manufacturing processes
• Ability to perform strength calculations
• Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities
• Attention to detail
• Work individually as well as in a team environment
• Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work
