Manufacturing Engineer

At BWXT Precision Manufacturing Inc., we are committed to excellence in every business initiative. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing work instructions, operating detail sheets, and designing jigs and fixtures to support production. This role involves working on assigned shifts that may change periodically.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Nuclear Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or 2-5 years of experience in an engineering role in the nuclear industry or similar high spec industry
• P.Eng License considered an asset, or working towards license in Ontario
• Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO 9001, CSA N285.0 and N299 quality programs is an asset
• Experience in supporting junior team members with training or work completion
• Demonstrated ability to achieve department KPI goals and objectives
• Expert in the use of 3D solid modeling software; Solidworks is preferred
• Experience with manufacturing precision-machined components and related processes including heat treatment, plating, assembly and testing activities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong communication and problem solving skills to work within a team-based environment
