Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to work in their Peterborough, Ontario site. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and executing manufacturing projects, creating detailed cost estimates, planning work, and writing work packages. The role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of manufacturing, and experience in custom engineered equipment industry.

Requirements

• College/University graduate in an Engineering discipline OR a certificate in a skilled trade
• 10- 15+ Years of manufacturing planning experience in custom engineered equipment industry
• Knowledge and experience with machining (conventional + CNC/CAM), fitting/welding, assembly and materials
• Experience with instrumentation and control equipment, PLCs, automation, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics
• Knowledge or experience with metrology, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T), blue print reading
• High level of proficiency with data analysis and management including spreadsheet tools, MRP systems, etc.
• Demonstrated ability in project planning / execution, including development of processes / procedures and process improvements
