Mechanical Engineer Team Lead

We are seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to be part of a fast-paced, leading robotic automation company. The role involves providing technical direction, mentoring a team, and ensuring the successful execution of mechanical assembly and testing equipment. This position requires strong communication skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical / Electro Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of experience utilizing solid works designing various custom automated test and assembly machines.
• Experience leading teams on projects valued at 5M plus.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Solidworks CAD software including FEA simulation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical design and perform engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of sound mechanical design principals, shop practices, and automation and test components.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks solid modeling software, knowledge of design techniques, automation techniques and principals involved in creation of automation and test stations and machines.
• Mentoring ability and a desire to teach junior engineers and peers
• Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, innate sense of commitment to the task at hand
• Attention to budgets and schedules and the profitability of the company
• Respect for leadership among peers and the manufacturing group
• Respect by customers and vendors
