LPN or Certified Medical Assistant Float

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Cardiology Float at Cardiovascular Institute of the South. As a key member of our cardiology team, you will provide licensed professional nursing and clinical support across multiple clinics and providers, delivering direct patient care, performing triage, managing diagnostic procedures, and ensuring continuity of care.

Requirements

• High school diploma and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Louisiana OR current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, RMA, CMA, or NCMA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS is a plus
• Proven clinical skills in triage, patient intake, EKGs, injections, venipuncture, diagnostic support, and EMR systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care and privacy
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel to various clinic locations as needed
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask while maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards
• Demonstrated dedication to the CIS mission and a collaborative team approach
