Job Description
Support Worker/HCA for Children and Young People. Contribute to holistic assessment and support to ensure general wellbeing needs are identified, met, and maintained. Provide high-quality care and support to CYP to ensure their safety, promote their well-being, and assist in their social, emotional, physical, behavioural, intellectual, and moral development.
Requirements
- RQF/QCF/NVQ/ NNEB Level 2/3 in CYP Workforce/Residential/Education or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Commitment to successfully complete a Level 3 CYP Workforce Diploma within a specified timeframe
- Previous experience within a formal paid care CYP setting
- Understanding of Attachment Theory
- Understanding of the principles of the Code of Conduct for Health and Social Care Support Workers in Jersey
- Understanding of the requirements and need for data protection
- Basic IT skills e.g., use of email, apps on a handheld mobile device
- Car driver/owner
- Experience of electronic client information systems, electronic rostering /scheduling
