The Sales Engineer is responsible for the sale of new Caterpillar generator sets with ancillary equipment. They will have overall management responsibility for the sales process from design stage to final quote, and will prioritize the overall sales growth and development of strong trusting relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, and end-users within the assigned territory.
Requirements
- Energetic self-starter able to work with limited supervision
- High mechanical aptitude
- Must possess ability to strategically and tactically organize and structure activities
- Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization and customers in a professional manner
- Must have strong written, verbal and presenting skills
- Must be able to develop/implement detailed and accurate bid materials and sales/training presentations
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Must be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to interpret data and make quick decisions
