Job Description
The Admissions Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating referrals, coordinating patient needs, and supporting sales activities within the assigned territory. The role involves assessing patients, documentation, managing patient schedules, and communicating with various staff members. This position supports the Catholic Hospice philosophy and provides an opportunity to enhance the hospice services provided.
Requirements
- Evaluate referrals for appropriateness for admission.
- Assess and perform the patient assessment and physical examination.
- Verify terminal diagnosis and prognosis.
- Communicate program explanations and risks/benefits of hospice care.
- Assist with paperwork and documentation.
