LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a visiting/intermittent basis, adhering to established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include treatment of patients' illnesses, rehabilitation, preventative care, and utilizing holistic approaches to problem-specific therapeutic interventions. The position requires collaboration with RNs, clinical managers, and healthcare team members. Compliance with relevant regulations and agency policies is essential.

Requirements

• At least 1 year or more with current/active Florida State Professional License
• At least 1 year of more experience as a LPN working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an acute or post-acute care setting
• At least one year home care experience in Medicare Certified agency- preferred
• IV Certified- Preferred
• Knowledgeable of AHCA Regulations, Medicare COP’s Guidelines
• Evidence of the ability to coordinate patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Decision-making ability
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Proficient with use of computers
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices
• Knowledge of nursing and medical regulations
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
