Job Description
Catholic Home Health Services of Broward is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide direct and indirect physical therapy services on a visiting and intermittent basis. The role involves observational, intervention, and liaison skills, ensuring effective care coordination and patient safety. PTA's must be certified and have current Florida State Professional License.
Requirements
- Provide therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist.
- Observe patients during treatment and compile data for reporting.
- Act as a liaison between patients, therapists, healthcare team, and community.
- Recommend possible modifications to physical therapy care plans.
- Instruct clients and families on transfer techniques.
- Accurately and thoroughly document patient care.
- Apply infection control plan and universal precautions.
- Meet mandatory continuing education and license requirements.
