Physical Therapist

The Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE organization that uses an interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing high-quality, affordable, and integrated healthcare services to the elderly. The Physical Therapist provides restorative and rehabilitative services in conjunction with the total plan of care.

Requirements

• Possession of a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and is a graduate of a program of Physical Therapy approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Preferred, one (1) year of experience working as a Licensed Physical Therapist with the frail elderly population.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification on file.
• A valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
• Ability to travel to multiple work sites and participants’ residences, required.
• Ability to perform job duties in a variety of clinical settings, including standing, walking, and moving between treatment areas throughout the workday.
• Ability to assist and safely support patients during transfers, positioning, and mobility activities.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment or materials weighing up to approximately 25 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
