Job Description
The Behavioral Health Tech I - CRC South position involves direct care of adults with severe and persistent mental illness, providing a homelike environment and supporting residents in learning daily living skills and managing symptoms.
Requirements
- Assist consumers in learning independent living skills
- Participate in ensuring nutritious community meals are planned and served
- Monitor consumer medication adherence
- Report changes in client behavior and functioning to Master's Level Clinician, WHCG RN, or physician
- Ensure residents maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene
- Ensure residents leave for their day program, job or school appropriately groomed
- Facilitate transportation as necessary
- Ensure the house is clean and complies with DHS 83 CBRF regulations
- Perform room, water, temperature or other daily weekly monitoring
- Practice emergency evacuation procedures and document drills
- Document residents' daily behavior and routine in the resident daily log
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service training seminars and conferences
