Job Description
The Behavioral Health Tech I - CRC South is a technical position that involves direct care of adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The role involves providing a homelike environment, learning and developing daily living skills, and ensuring residents maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
Requirements
- Assists consumers in learning independent living skills
- Participates in ensuring nutritious community meals are planned, prepared, and served
- Monitors consumer medication adherence
- Reports changes in client behavior and functioning to Master’s Level Clinician, WHCG RN, or physician
- Ensures residents maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene
- Ensures residents leave for their day program, job or school appropriately groomed
- Ensures the house is clean at all times and complies with DHS 83 CBRF regulations
- Performs room, water, temperature or any other daily weekly monitoring assigned by the Program Coordinator
- Documents residents’ daily behavior and routine in the resident daily log
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training seminars and conferences as required
