Peer Support Specialist

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have lived experience with mental illness, substance use, or homelessness and/or experience gained through family member's mental health/substance use. The role involves developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients, providing individual and group peer support services, and facilitating wraparound/recovery supports.

Requirements

• Lived experience with mental illness, substance use, or homelessness and/or experience gained through family member's mental health/substance use
• FL driver's license
• Knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly
• Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use concerns
• Electronic medical records, computer systems, and documentation competency
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Accountable and self-directed with daily job duties
