Job Description
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide 1:1 to provide direct, individualized support to students in a special education program. The role involves implementing individualized education plans, instructing students, and supporting their growth and development. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and have a positive attitude, with experience working with children with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher in education or a related field preferred
- Licensed paraprofessional, paraeducator, or similar credential preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training
- Prior experience working with children with special needs
- Ability to think and act quickly in emergencies
- Advanced communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database entry
