Role Overview

Wieland is hiring a Project Engineer - Mechanical to lead engineering and project management of capital projects. The role is responsible for analyzing production processes, recommending changes, and implementing capital projects within schedule and budget constraints. The Project Engineer will work on-site in Buffalo, NY, and contribute to improved plant performance and profitability.

What You Will Do

The Project Engineer will analyze production processes, recommend changes, and implement capital projects. They will also contribute to long-range planning, research, and capital budget preparation. Additionally, they will provide post-project completion analysis and feedback to staff and administrative levels.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BT in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing/industrial environment, and proficiency in CAD, hydraulics, maintenance systems, and project management. They will also have good communication skills and be able to actively solicit input from stakeholders.
