The Lead Bartender will serve players and members of The Chautauqua Golf Club, preparing mixed drinks, receiving and preparing bar beverage orders, and providing guests with a fast-paced bar and cocktail service.
Requirements
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
- Consistently prepare mixed drinks according to Athenaeum Hotel standards
- Receive and prepare bar beverage orders from the service staff
- Provide guests with a fast-paced bar and cocktail service
- Cleaning glasses and utensils, bar area
- Restocking beer, wine, and glasses as necessary
- Track all orders through POS System and report daily sales
- Track complimentary, unwanted, or lost beverages
- Know and understand NYS Liquor Laws
- Oversee front-of-house staff and monitor restaurant operations
- Interact with guests and ensure guest satisfaction is above and beyond
- Maintain standards of fine dining establishment in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Work alongside kitchen staff to ensure quality control of the product
- Assist management in overall cost-effectiveness within budget and oversee front-of-house staff and monitor restaurant operations
- Conduct training for seasonal staff
- Responsible for directing employees to keep a clean space and atmosphere
- All other duties as assigned
